I'm fitting a Banham door lock and have to drill a precisely positioned 32mm hole for the key cylinder to fit. Using a 32mm DeWalt mandrel holesaw drill bit I unfortunately drilled the hole a few mm off where it needs to be. If you've ever used a hole saw you know that they have a guide drill bit to keep the hole saw in position, but with a 32mm diameter hole already drilled, the hole saw just slips when re-positioned a few mm to the left. What is the best suggested method to re-position - should i screw a piece of timber inside the mortice to take the guide drill bit?pic1 - drill bitpic 2 - current situation via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2RN2mm0
