So here is the situation.
My Father recently died in Poland. He was an international businessman of sorts. So far we have established how to get him back to the UK and have sorted out the funeral plans but then we have hit a wall. None of the family know that much about his work. At first we thought he worked for a company, upon contacting said company we discover that he had set up his own company. So all we can be provided with is a billing address. We know he has an apartment in Thailand and a house in Germany. But that's about it. What is the process for discovering who he banked with? How do we go about transfering his assets to me and my two brothers? How do we find out if he had travel insurance or life insurance? (It might help in paying for his repatriation and funeral costs, me and my brothers have very little money between us)
Any help would be appreciated, we all feel a little lost at this point.
