This may not work for everyone, especially if you feel the need to shave every single day or are very sensitive to shaving and need specialty products.
I use a "safety razor" and replace my blades. I don't need to shave too often maybe 6-8 times a month. I get a lot of uses out of my blades and buy them dirt cheap online (About 25 cents per blade and I use them multiple times before throwing them out, Astra brand)
Then for shaving cream, I use C.O. Bigelow shaving cream which is like $11 and lasts a full year or more for me. I only need a little tiny bit and it lathers up my whole face. Really recommend the product it's great.
So there you have it, shaving basically is not an expense for me. Though I understand that what I do probably doesn't work for lots of you out there. Just blows my mind how much people pay to shave because of the super expensive replacement cartridges
