Hi,I had a new Samsung slide-in electric oven (model NE58M9430SS ) delivered this past Friday and opted to not have it professionally installed based on a read through of the installation manual.Prior to purchase, I took measurements of the opening. The width of cutout for the stove is 30" (stove body width is 29 13/16"), the depth of my counter is 25" (installation guide suggests 25") and the height of my counter from the floor to the top of the countertop is 36 5/8" or 36.625" (installation guide states that if the height is higher then 36 4/5" or 36.8" a support is required). Now all measurements are easy except for the height where it seems that I would need to fully extend the levelling legs as I need a gap between the top of the countertop and the bottom of the oven of at least 1/16". So 36 5/8" + 1/16" = 36 11/16" or 36.688 which is just shy of the maximum stated height previously mentioned of 36.8" before a support is required. The issue I am running into is that I can extend the rear levelling legs no problem as I have it currently set at 36 3/4", however the front levelling legs I can only adjust to about 36 3/8" or 36.375" before the leg comes out.So something isn't right and I'm trying to figure out if its my doing or an issue with the unit. The front levelling leg can only come out about 36.375" before it falls out, yet the installation guide states it should be able to be extended to 36.8" I called Samsung and they advised me to have the oven professionally installed despite me telling them what I said in this paragraph. I know I could put a shim underneath the front of the oven but it seems like something I shouldn't have to do.Thoughts? Suggestions? via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2QuIP9c
