So this happened. About a year ago I bought this controller board from eBay to use with my old laptop's screen. As it needed 12v of power, I used the power adapter from an old wifi modem, and up until a few days ago it was working flawlessly.I then decided that my setup needed a refresh, and disconnected everything to rearrange my desk. When I got to reconnect the monitor I accidentally used a different power adapter, which is rated for 8v. The single indicator light turned solid red (usually it is red when off and green when on), and is still like that even when using the correct adapter. There is no activity on the screen, and my computer doesn't recognise that it is connected.I know that undervolting an electronic device usually doesn't do any harm, apart from it not working properly. Also, the polarity of the adapters is the same.Any help/instruction would be greatly appreciated! via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2D0u2QY
