I would like to get an engagement ring that will last many years without damage (scratches, dents, etc.) Nothing fancy, just a simple, plain, preferably non-gold band with a single small (under a carat) colored (ruby, sapphire, emerald) stone: fake or real, depending on price. Cheap, fake diamonds are also an option, but I am unsure of the price on them/if they're cheaper than colored stones. It needs to be able to withstand many many years of wear and tear without any paint chipping off or warping. I've looked at Walmart and the like, but all their rings are either too cheap (less than $50 and the paint is chipping even on the displays) or they're too flashy and expensive ( over $400, high carat stones, small stones set in the band, etc.) If any of you have gotten engagement rings recently like this, or if you've seen them, please comment. Any suggestions (within reason) are appreciated, thank you!
