Last month a couple of good friends got married. My cc bill was due on Sunday and I completely missed making the payment on time (for most bills I have auto pay set up but I like to feel the pain every time I have a big credit card bill due). Normally I pay in time and the full amount, but I got hit with a $25 late fee and $25 in finance fees. Called them this morning, explained about the wedding and missing the payment, and a very nice woman from customer wiped the late charge and fee for me. It pays to be a good customer!
