I’m laying tile in the bathrooms and kitchen of A house I’m fixing up for my mother. I had to completely tear out the floors of the kitchen, laundry room and both bathrooms because of the mold and rot down to the joists. After some splicing and framing, I treated the lumber for mold. Also, I tore out he bottom 12” of drywall to replace, treat and prime the studs just to be sure. Here is the question: To match the floor height in the rest of the house I am laying 7/16” & 3/4” OSB under 1/2” concrete backer. I want to waterproof the plywood before laying the backer, what do you guys recommend to do the job?I was hoping to just spray a good layer of KILZ-2 primer down and use silicone in the edges. But I want to do this right so I don’t have problems later on.Thanks!Edit: grammar via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2Ps5Lpi
