Hi Reddit,
I live in the northeast US and the price of heating a home is insane. Folks here either pay $3 a gallon for heating oil or they have natural gas. My house is pretty off the grid, spring water, septic, etc. With the exception of heating oil. I would love to get rid of the huge tank and expenses that come along with it. My house is about 120 years old, so it has cast iron radiators for heating, which I feel heat the house nicely and are pretty efficient.
I was thinking to obtain solar panels to power an electric tankless water heater to feed the radiators with hot water. Has anyone done something similar? Just curious if this is even possible/worth it.
Thanks!
