Same car available in either pearl white or light silver.
I want to keep this car 10+ years and not have to pay for very regular car washes but still have it looking OK when parking at the corporate office. I am moving to the Midwest so will be dealing with salted roads in winter and squashed bugs. I like to do a lot of camping so might deal with dust/dirt. I've read stats about white being safer but do you think that would be true in the Midwest where we have snowy winters?
Most of the posts I've read on this come from people who really care about car looks and I'm interested more in the frugal perspective. I've heard silver for hiding scratches but white is easier to paint match? Which do you think stays cleaner looking? Is the paint matching that big of an issue? What would you go for?
EDIT: Its a compact hatchback if that makes any difference. :)
