I have been on a frugal tear lately.
Reduced my cell bill by 50 dollars ( Same company better plan) Reduced my insurance by 35 dollars a month ( Same company new discounts) Went vegetarian ( Meat is crazy expensive here).
But the thing I am most proud of is through very diligent driving, taking advantage of coasting by learning my route very well, and being as light on my pedal as possible, I have gone from an average 30mpg in my Hyundai Elantra to 42.1 and 41.5 I my last two tanks.
Nothing scientific, but I wanted to remind everyone that the manner in which you drive can have a major impact in fuel economy.
Oh, and this is without getting on the high way. Just back road type driving.
