OK, so I managed the foundations, block walls, roof, torched on some felt, black jacked the internals, added a breathable membrane, battens and some lovely cladding. I even figured out how to fit a set of French doors with satin glass and I'm at a point where I have a levelish sand base with membrane ready to take a floor. And here lies my problem. What floor do I go for and how. I've read screed and then also read about concrete base and insulate, don't insulate. The purpose of the building is to just house mainly garden bits and bobs, maybe have electric down there one day, so not for habitaion.I'm thinking hire a mixer, get in three ton of sharp sand, a fuck ton of portland cement and just figure it out. But just figured I'd also ask the good people of reddit for some advice.Sizes are:12ft x 10.5ftThe thickness of the floor is approx 100mmIm thinking of 25mm of floor insulation.Any ideas of qualities of sharp sand/portland or if its just a slab I need to pour. Thanks so much everyone for the help, I know there are some smart people out there. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2ONVRx8
