Okay so I'm finally making decent money (relative to what I earned throughout all my other jobs, I'm 22) and I have my finances in order. I don't have any debt and I'm managing my expenses with discipline. I've spent the last few months being very diligent in my retirement investing and making sure every dollar has a budget.

My family is in the final stages of booking a cruise that will cost me almost $2000 for this November. All of my family members involved are in debt, but I'm not. I am trying to warn them that they may have trouble even affording this vacation, but they aren't interested in listening.

The price for the cruise will cost almost $1500 but will likely run me $2000 when it's all said and done. Again, I have no debts and a small savings (most of my assets are in a ROTH and brokerage). This vacation will likely hit me the least hardest, but I'm having trouble parting with such a large amount of money for just a week of vacation.

I can't help but feel like I'm being a cheap bastard though. My sister is leaving for the Marines a month after the supposed trip, so it will be our last family get-away for a long time. If they go, I'm going to go as well. Am I being too stingy? I read a lot of other posts on this sub similar to my situation so I just want some feedback. If I am in the wrong, feel free to let me know. I am excited for the trip but it's just coming at a big cost.

Thank you guys!
