I am going to have to make a move in the next 2-3 years as I work in a small office and my boss is preparing for retirement. He has told me that he will give me lot of advance notice and will also assist me in looking for new work.
He has treated me well and we have a good environment so I am committed to staying on with him until the end.
Currently I work in a traditional office setting as a receptionist/secretary/office manager. I am very good at the work I do and I do actually enjoy it. But for my next line of work I would like something a little more hands on and active. But I would still like something with a more traditional, 9-5 M-F schedule.
I've been considering a career in childcare, but I'm not confident about this decision as I know the pay can be lower and it can be tough working with kids some days. But any job has it's bad days.
Basically I'm looking to see what other ideas the community might have. Thanks for your help. :)
