A lived with a buddy and we broke the lease six months in advance. Now, both of our names were on the lease but he was the "main" leaseholder. Well, soon after we left he filed for bankruptcy and said that it was taken care of. Now, two and a half years later, I get a letter saying I owe $6600 with a settlement amount of $3400. I definitely don't have this kind of money and was wondering if there was anything I can do. Thanks in advance for any help.
