I am car hunting for the first time in life and am having some thoughts. Do you think it is cheaper to buy a car new and own it for 4ish years or so and only do the minimal that is typically needed in the first few years of ownership such as oil changes, tires and inspections, or to buy a car new and maintaining it its entire lifespan? Edit: Especially if you have a minimal of $7,500 for a down payment to start the process.
