Pics of the finished beds inside the dog kennels. pic pic pic pic
I have 7 senior rescue dogs, and they cost a LOT of money. I want them to be comfortable, but I'm not going to pay $20-$100 per dog bed. So I decided to make some new beds for them for their kennels.
We have an old large Love Sac that was our couch all through college, but we don't use it anymore, so I decided to take some of the foam out of it to use for dog beds. I usually use old pillows, but I think the foam is more comfortable for them.
First I made a pillow out of the foam and some old sheets.
Then for the outside bed covers, I found some cute outdoor tablecloths on sale for $3.88 each. I bought two, but only used one for all of these four kennels and the travel kennel. I will use the other tablecloth for some beds I'm making for their lounging beds in the kitchen and living room. I also used some fabric from old T-shirts my husband was getting rid of.
This whole project took all weekend, but the cost to me was just time and those tablecloths that were on sale. I bought the largest size, and it was the same price as the smaller sized tablecloths.
