My wife and I are slowly working our way to renovating our house. One of the remaining tasks is refinishing the stairs leading to our basement. The issue is that the stairs are concrete and have a radius on either side leading to the walls. This makes it impossible (very difficult) to use stair treads or laminate flooring as they would not lie flat on the stair. Additionally, there is limited head room in the stairway so I don't want to build the stair treads up too much to level. I am thinking about simply painting the concrete stair case and laying down a decorative no-slip carpet stair tread. We're not thrilled with this idea, but are at a loss for other ideas. Do any of you have experience with this or a similar problem? Any ideas? Thanks! via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2vCQklF
