Long story short: I moved away. Signed paperwork to switch my cable / internet to my roommate.
Three months later, I get a call that there’s a late bill (after a suspected issue with her bank account, roommate canceled her checks, which interrupted her bill payment.) I say I shouldn’t even be associated with the account anymore. They say the paperwork didn’t go through for some reason.
After lots of back and forth, we haven’t been able to get anything done, and I complained about it affect my finances. (I did see a noticeable drop in my credit score this month) She said they don’t report to the credit agency.
Was she blowing smoke up my ass, or is this factual?
