If I'm bored I go change hunting, it's like a scavenger hunt. Just looking for random change on the ground. Found a $5 bill in a store once, blended in with the floor.
If I see something broken/free on the side of the road I bring it home, fix it up and sell it for a few bucks.
I also save up amazon gift cards (doing online surveys, shopkick, MTurk) for things I might want but don't feel like I should spend money on. I feel less guilty buying it that way.
Just curious what others do too
