This is a complete mess. I found out today that I have been sued at least 5 times by 5 different credit card companies for non payment. The lawsuits were all in MA where I used to live. From what I have been able to gather today, the lawsuits were all for credit cards that were taken out in my name when I was in college during a semester I was abroad. They were maxed out and eventually closed and I was sued for them. I had no idea this was happening because they sent notices to places I was not living. All resulted in default judgments against me for not showing up to court. Three of the lawsuits were decided in 2016, one in 2017 and there is a new one that was just filed last month. One of the suits(not sure which) resulted in them issuing a bench warrant for me for not showing up. I can't tell if the warrant is still active or not since they wouldn't tell me over the Phone and I currently live in another state so can't just go in person.

The judgements against me are for several thousand dollars (one card for $2,000 and the others are each $5,000). Is there any chance of fixing this or is my only choice to pay? I don't have much detail about the suits because I haven't had a chance to go back o the state to get the info today but I will do that asap.

I haven't used credit for anything other than student loans. I tried to pull my credit report today but couldn't verify myself online so I requested it by mail.

Any advice is appreciated.
