I can continue to work with him with no pay at the moment until severance runs out in a few weeks when I could start getting some monthly pay (low pay so it would be just enough to cover monthly bills). I haven't brought up the discussion of paying me starting now since everything is still unclear. I can cover my resume gap by listing this as I look to find other employment but he is asking for a 2 year commitment from me.
Since I'm getting no pay for work he is asking for me to do and I can't see myself living in my current city much longer, the other option is to just move back home. I'm just worried about the resume gap and whether I can get employed soon. I have enough money to last about a year with 6 months of UI.
