Me(23) and my bf(24) both live together and have been dating 2 years. Essentially since the beginning we have lived together.

It seems at the end of each of his paychecks we start fighting. He is almost always out of money every 2 weeks, and then will ask to borrow my card. If I say no, it’s a huge fight.

His costs: beer, cigarettes, his car loan and insurance, his hobbies whch includes building aquariums, his phone bill, and gardening. (About 1,600 a month)

My costs: Rent($300), Internet($80), phone bill, paying off debt, medical bills, stuff for our dog. (I make about 2000 a month, but it’s hard to calculate how much I spend, I always have something by next pay period.)

Shared: groceries, laundry, house stuff, gas.

He keeps throwing in my face that since I make a little more I should be kicking down more. However if feels or of hand and his ‘grocery’ trips where he asks to use my card are filled with expensive stuff he only eats.

Should a couple have to share cards? What is fair? What is unfair?
