I'm hand digging and forming a 35'x50' mono slab with alone.Any tips to keep the inside of my trenches from collapsing from rain or drying out? I have re-dug trenches before and it sucks...The site is sloped, the down hill side will be nearly 4' high, up hill is 18" deep. The fill is yellow sand and compacts well when moist.Since I'm working alone I'm going pretty slow... I only managed to dig and set 50' of forms on the shallow side today. It will probably be 2 weeks before Im ready to pour. (Also doing the steel, plumbing, and electrical rough)I have thought about forming the inside with foam board. I would pull the stakes when I lay rebar and plastic but leave the board.I have also considered putting visqueen (vapor barrier) over the inside edges and staking it, I would pull stakes and leave the plastic when I lay down the full vapor barrier.Thoughts? via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2A9paaF
