Hi,I am trying to replace a standard outlet in my house with an outlet that has USB slots. YouTube had made me believe this was a simple replacement any old joe could do. I turned off the breaker, checked to make sure it was off with my multimeter, and began. Unfortunately, I immediately ran into a problem I am not comfortable with proceeding beyond until I get an answer. The outlet I purchased only has one "hot" screw. The outlet I am removing from the wall has a blue and a red wire, each attached to one "hot" screw. So I have no idea how to rectify this. I also notice there is no ground wire being used in the previous outlet, although it has a green screw. Any suggestions?https://ift.tt/2KYXKFD it helps, my condo building was build in 1964.UPDATE:This is how I solved my problem, per u/rpitchford's suggestion. Thanks!https://ift.tt/2N0uoY7 for your help! Seems to be working and I don't see smoke yet! via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2lYZhQW
