This is something I've been worrying about as I prepare to finish college, get married, and move out of my family's house. I'm discovering the joys of dollar stores, discount grocers like Aldi, bargain hunting at resale shops, stacking sales and coupons at places like HEB, etc. Yet I don't want my boyfriend, family, or friends to think I'm too cheap to buy what they do. I feel like if the generic or knock-off brand of something is cheaper and essentially the same product, why not save some money? Yet even a cursory glance at the package shows it isn't a national brand that people are familiar with. I guess it's a question of salvaging my pride. Reddit, where do you draw the line where frugality becomes over-the-top cheapness?
