If your package is one day late you are entitled to:
Shipped 2 day prime - you can get 1 month of Prime free ($10 or $11 value, I think)
Shipped slow shipping to get $1 credit - you are entitled to $5 Amazon credit
It only takes a minute via the chat feature. From experience, asking for a manager doesn't get you anything better. They have a policy on what they're allowed to give. That being said, you can do this over and over again for each package without being penalized. They will go back at least a few weeks, maybe longer. It's more effective imo if you approach them as soon as you get the delayed notice.
Source: I've gotten about a year of free prime due to weather delays and a few $5 credits.
