So I bought a mic stand for my computer that has a clamp that attaches to my desk. Unfortunately I was stupid and didn't take into account that my desk has panels that go down on the side, and not just a desk with a thin panel on top. The back is too thick as well and I don't want it on the front. I'm not buying a new desk since I don't have the money, and I have a drill and saw so here is my plan lol:>drill holes in a 4x2 inch area to fit the lower half of the clamp in a rectangular shape, one hole each like 1/4 inch apart>once i have the holes drilled, start sawing between the holes to connect the holes and push out center piece>use the saw to smooth it outam i retarded or will this work? desk is polished wood.edit:here is the stand in questionhere is a general idea of what the clamp looks like via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2uHWY9Y
