Just got engaged (yay!) but after searching for a venue for the past few days I want to die. How on earth is someone supposed to afford multiple thousand dollars on just renting a room for 4-6 hours? Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated!
If anyone is in the Chicago-land area and has any ideas on a reception venue that doesn't cost as much as my car for the night I would love you.
Edit: We will likely have a very large number of guests (our guesstimation is ~250 people), I come from a large family. On my dads side alone I have 40 cousins, that adds up the head count quick!
