I would like to plan a vacation during my son's spring break next year. I know this is not the most frugal time to travel but I don't want to pull him out of class for a week in "off peak season" to save a few dollars. I'm looking to spend about $2000. So far all I can come up with is a cruise. I'm not averse to this but I'm wondering if anyone has any other ideas or suggestions.
We aren't campers. We live in Georgia & I'm fine driving. Our kids will be 4 & 7 at that time. Beach vacation for the week is ~$1500 before food or entertainment. Disney is ~$1700 just for tickets. All inclusive resorts were about $2-3k before airfare. I want a nice vacation but damn. Anybody got any advice? Thanks!
