I just installed the werner compact attic ladder where you basically have to make your own door and finish the opening. and I had some ply wood cut to size to make the door. It fits fine when I lift it up Into the hole but when I try to screw in the hinges it won’t close all the way. I think my opening is out of square so when I tighten the door down to the frame the one hinge pulls the door too far. What solutions are best? Can I put a shim between the door jamb and hinge and compensate that way? Or do I need to re do the framing itself? TIA via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2JVRbSE
