I've been considering two of these, if it's possible in our area (haven't researched it further yet). We live in northern MN - cold. We have a trailer home with an addition on it currently. We have an engineered slab under the 16x80 trailer and a slab (not engineered) under the addition, which I want to say is 20x30. Assuming I find out that it is possible to place two of these on our property, does anyone do this and know if the quality is at least equal to a trailer home as far as withstanding cold temps?
I'm looking at these smaller homes because we only have a small space between the road and our mound/septic system and, most importantly, it creates personal space for my aging parents that live with us. Cost and lack of knowledge/ability makes building our own on site not a possibility. We have looked at a couple of manufactured homes that may fit, but they don't create enough privacy as it'd be a shared kitchen and living room. Ideas o input?
