So I am a working college student living at home for the summer. I work about 35 hours a week in retail seasonally, with this summer I'm working in our wearhouse almost exclusively. I go up and down ladders all day and I lift a lot of boxes. I just want to have a cheap and good lunch I can use that'll fill me up for as cheap as I can get. I also have another job I do remotely 7 hours a week, so I don't have a lot of time to really do any cooking. Currently I've been getting this great deal at McDonald's, picking up lunch for my shifts for a mere $4-5 a day. I can get a bacon cheeseburger, 2 McChickens, medium fry, and a large fruit punch for $4.28 currently. Food is really my only splurge for each week but I'm just wondering how else I can manage to cut back on my food budget? I'm not even sure if there's anything prepackaged (for a picky eater like myself) I can make for under $4/day that fills me up. I have only had this type of meal twice this week so this isn't something I'm looking to do 5 days out of the week in general. On weekends when I work, I usually eat a few hot dogs and have a small soda for about $3, so I'm not worried at all about that. I'm just wondering if there's any suggestions for what I can do the other 3 days of the week that I work? Sometimes I don't work all those days consecutively so that's one thing I worry about too with buying extra groceries or whatever else for my lunches. I only really buy lunch whenever I work a long shift like over 6 hours. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
