My SO accidentally sat in my phone a few weeks back and the screen cracked everywhere. Instead of taking it to a phone repair place where I would have had to spend $100-$150 to fix it, I was able to find a new screen online for $50.
I looked up a YouTube video of how to replace a screen and it was all pretty straight forward. I know I was taking a risk doing this myself so I caution everyone who may consider doing it too. I basically just transferred all the hardware and cameras into the new part.
Here's a picture of the cracked screen after I replaced it with the new one. This is also what the new screen I ordered looked like minus the cracks.
