So my old grand marquis finally broke down and it's no longer worth dumping more money into, so I want it gone. The only problem is those scrap people want the title. The car was my mom's before, then when she died my dad drove it a couple years, then I got it. Everyone agrees that mom probably "filed" the title somewhere. I personally think it's in the safe of which my dad knows neither the combination nor contents. So it's lost forever. I know I can print a new one, but I just did that for the car I was given and it was more than $100. The most any junk guy offered was 180. If someone is just using it for parts, can't they just have it?
