Both gold and silver have had technical breakdowns on 2-year long trendlines. These coils have been tightening for a while. See here and here. Cryptocurrencies are selling off as well. I don't own either right now, but I've been keeping my eye on them given the crazy high stock market, tightening, trade worries, and cryptocurrency volatility. I'm not sure if this is an actual break lower, or just bad timing of the trade news affecting the metals markets. And rather than just considering the short term volatility, I'm wondering if this means anything for how gold and silver will do during this phase of tightening.
