Hi again guys - in case you missed my original post about my absurd electric bill, I linked it first and foremost up top. I am here to update that not a single thing has changed in the 60 days I've been working on lowering my bill. My husband is on the phone with the company again as we speak, but I am hoping another Redditor has had a breakthrough in the mean time and can shed some light on how their story ended.
My (now) husband and I left for out of town on Monday, April 22 and were not back until Sunday, May 14 for our wedding and overseas honeymoon. When we got back, he and I received a bill for our condo being $274. While we were out of town 21 of the 30 days the meter was read. We immediately contacted our property manager, the leasing manager and the electric company. The electric company again told us nothing is wrong, they don't know why we didn't think we'd have a bill and the next available appointment to have someone come and read it is June 25th. Well, that isn't going to work. I am now playing email and phone tag with our property manager to get someone out here immediately to read the meters and figure out what the in fuck is going on. I am losing my mind. We asked neighbors again, they're spending $36, $56 and $80. I feel like I'm getting half of all of their bills on top of my own. These people are families of 4 and have children. It's my fiance and myself. That's all.
I don't know who to contact next. Help.
