TLDR: looking for a “self cleaning” or “easy clean” litter box for a good/cost effective price (can be expensive up front if it evens out to be the same as a cheaper one with expensive refills etc)
Does anyone have experience with litter boxes... more fancy than a pan with a liner and litter? I’ve been using just a simple pan with litter but my and my partner’s mental health has decreased and while I know it’s important to not let the house fall apart, I want to keep my kitties happy and not let them suffer I.e. dirty litter. I hope this is an ok sub to post: I am looking for a “self cleaning” or easier cleaning litter box to keep our kitties happy and take a stressor off our plate. I am choosing /r/frugal because I am wondering if anyone out there knows of the best cost effective litter box. We currently use a crystal litter so we only scoop the poo. I have looked at things like the Breeze System, Litter Maid, Omega Roll n Clean, Scoop Free, etc etc all the way up to the $449 litter robot. Your experiences and reviews? What do you suggest? Btw we do have 2 boxes for our 2 cats but would consider switching to 1 if it’s pricier-the cats share already. Thanks guys.
