I'm not entirely sure if this sub is the right place for this, so apologies beforehand if not. I am new to North Eastern PA and my daily average kWh usage (and therefore electric bill) seems astronomical. I live alone in a 1BR apartment. I work out of state half the week, and even on the days I am gone my daily usage is 11-13 kWh. Is this normal? The only things plugged in when I am gone are my stove, fridge and iMac. I do have "energy efficient" dual heat/AC units installed (the system uses vents and actually looks like central - but isn't) but I NEVER turn them on.
I live in what was once a church rectory which my landlord is in the process of remodeling with a construction crew every morning from 6AM - 6PM. He also own the church next door, which I assume has power.
So what do you guys think? Is this kind of usage normal? I went from literal $7 electric bills in Northern California being home 24/7 to $120 electric bills in PA being home twice a week.
