Warning. Vent inside.
I want to live simply. I want time to be spent with each other instead of devices and internet. I seem to be alone in my journey for that. My 14 yr old daughter is all about consumerism. My husband believes she's a princess and should have what she wants. I've spent the better part of this year weeding out toys and clothes and Cleaning out the basement of useless clutter. I've gone through cabinets and closets. My husband has called it flat surface syndrome. Anything with a flat surface will accumulate junk. I tell them they are both hoarders (they probably aren't but they sure don't put anything away). I've come up with plans to clean out, pick up and live better and it's good for about 24 hours before they go back to how it was.
I'm so frustrated. I work full time. I have about an hour and a half commute each way so I only have about 4 hours of being productive at night. How can I get them on board? Even if it's just my husband.
