Update: Thermistor! Will update once everything is replaced. Thanks reddit! This is a Kenmore HE3. The dryer wouldn't heat, so figured it was the same problem of exactly one year ago, when the element had gone bad. Ordered an element, took out the old... and it was fine. Replaced it anyway. Completely tore down the whole dryer, testing everything (went through each non-moving part in the teardown found under the top of the dryer). Only bad part was this thermal fuse.Replaced it, appeared to be heating, put the whole thing back together (after thoroughly cleaning out everything inside)... and it lasted most of one load, going cold about 3/4 through the cycle.Feeling completely defeated atm, and have two weeks of laundry to take to a laundromat now, but does anyone have any tips on what it might be/what else I should test for when I get the energy back up?I know it's not a blockage anywhere - I cleaned everything, including the line going outside. Also know it's not the outlet or the power cord. Thanks! via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2LweXGZ
