Making a throw away since I dont want people knowing my actual name associated with my awful financial situation until well after I am clear of it and can start a podcast and basically become a guru.
Long story short: Moved across the country, racked up debt, got left in a large apartment because of a S/O drug problem, lost money because of it and paying for a ton of expenses moving that I wont get back and not worth chasing after. That on top of dental work to replace 3 teeth (which hopefully a lawsuit comes through soon so I can catch up on everything). Basically a long series of bad events and decisions that stacked really fast that landed me in the hole.
In total - $58,600 as of right now. This is between Credit Cards, Student Loan, Personal Loan for medical bills, and Car loan.
Income and work:
W2 Income:
Coffee Rep - $550 take home each month. Work hours on the weekends at $20 an hour plus commission which comes to roughly $15-20 extra each shift. Average probably 8 hours a week.
1099 Income:
PR Firm - $95,000 first year / $67,000 Post Tax.
$6750 a month for first 4 months (4750 after taxes). $7500 a month for months 5-8. $8250 a month for months 8-12. Possible bonuses which are usually paid out usually 5-10% based on company performance according to coworkers.
Free Lance Writing - $28 an hour / $785 a month post tax
Work from home remote for about 10 hours a week. Work for old company I just left and probably will stay on for 1-2 years doing this.
Uber - $325 after taxes accounted for
Will probably do this for two hours after work twice a week and friday or saturday nights. Doing this right now when I get bored and average about 25-30 an hour driving with a car that gets 45 to the gallon and bought at way under market value.
Total Monthly Income After Taxes:
$6410
Expenses: Apartment + Utilities - $2000 Car Loan + Insurance - $320 Phone - $100 Health Insurance - $300
Gas + Food - $500
Total = $3300 (Rounded up to be safe)
Roughly $3000 to shoot at debt each month.
Goal is to tackle the big credit card first then work my way down.
1 - $8,000 at 21% 2 - $5,000 at 18% 3 - $2,800 at 0% for the next 4 months.
Car loan is at 1.5% interest, I can sell it for $3,000 more than I bought it for even with 50,000 miles racked up on it.
I am really posting this so I have some accountabilibuddies.
I dont want to confide in others what I make now and what my debts are just to stay private. Will be posting once every two weeks with an update. My goal is to be debt free by July of 2019, including student loans.
First goal:
Pay of $8,000 Credit Card by September 1st - Bring Credit Score Over 650.
