We're finishing a laundry room in our basement; one wall of the room will be against an above ground block wall of the foundation. I've been searching and searching the internet for the answer I'm looking for but everyone seems to have a different opinion. The wall looks like this. What I'm trying to find out is, if I'm building a 2x6 stud wall, and insultlating and drywalling it, do I need some kind of moisture barrier or foam board or something? Drylock? Do I frame flush to the wall or leave a gap? Like I said, I've seen so many methods I'm not sure what the "correct" answer may be (so obviously I came to reddit). Location is central Virginia if it matters. Hot, humid summers and mild winters, but we get some single digit nights here and there. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2IYVPE4
