Live in Minnesota and I'm looking to install solar at our business and every installer keeps asking if we're interested in investing in solar gardens because of the massive returns. When I ask how it works they go into some complicated tax law explanation and I can't help but feel like they're snake oil salesmen, can someone without an incentive to sell to me please explain how this works?
Edit: I do understand how the end electricity user benefits. What's confusing is the solar installers are trying to get us to actually fund the development of a community garden, not buy the energy from it. They cite huge RoI because of a loop in the tax system and that's where I get lost.
