Not sure if I'm breaking a rule, but I didn't know where else was appropriate to post this.I am trying to figure out what type of foam to buy to re-cushion a sofa I just bought. The seat cushions are hard as a rock, comically hard. I keep seeing high density, medium density, and regular density but I don't know what they would feel like. I am looking for something pretty "soft" that you would sink into.I see a lot of compression numbers talking about 35 lbs to squish a 4" thick to 1" for one square inch or something, but I can't figure how to translate to the feel I am looking for when I sit on it. I also saw that there are different grades of high density so I'm at a loss on how to choose correctly. Can anyone steer me in the right direction for what "density" foam I should get that would make for a soft, sinking seat cushion? I am looking for something that is 6" thick. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2KnB1mw
