I am in the process of buying a car for the first time as a 21 year old female college student. I've tried to compare quotes online from different auto insurers but I get anything ranging from $260 up to $1,000+. Can anyone provide me with any tips on how to go about buying car insurance and getting the best deals?
EDIT: Parents don't want me on their car insurance since their rates are bad.
