I live in Northeast NJ, it gets pretty hot in the summer. We cannot use window mounted air conditioners because we're on the second floor and town ordinances say that we can't use a window A/C if we're a certain elevation from the ground because of dangers or whatever. The apartment building does not want to install mounts for window A/Cs because it's an older brick building and they were talking about water leaking.
Any recommendations for a standing air conditioner? The apartment is 600 square feet and the two main rooms to be cooled are a master bedroom and a living room. We are mainly sitting at 2 separate desks, one in the master bedroom and one in the living room. Any ideas on what to get would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
