Hi there, I'm grasping at straws at this point, hoping someone out there can help. I need to live on the very frugal side while I look for a new job. Cellphone is broken and I spend all my time on my computer anyway. I'd rather not spend upwards of 50 dollars on a cheap phone that I don't even want.
I just want to set up a phone line to my computer! So I can take incoming calls, or place outgoing ones, maybe even have voicemail with an outgoing message and possibly be able to text? Incoming calls is the important thing, gotta have a reliable number to put on resumes.
I've had a bad experience in the past with Skype's phone service, so I'm looking for an alternative to that if at all possible. It's just really hard to figure out what my options are or what's out there, as my search terms get misinterpreted.
Or perhaps you could recommend a more appropriate subreddit to post this question to? Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer!
