Looking to buy a pressure washer to clean our deck, cars, walkways, gutters, etc. I've heard the main thing is to get a Honda engine in this consumer range, though I haven't heard much about this brand Simpson. I started doing some obsessive research on Honda motors and cams, GC190 vs GX200, etc. This is the exact model I'm settled on so far: SIMPSON Cleaning MSH3125-S 3200 PSI at 2.5 GPM. Mostly due to price, but it does have a cam that is prone to failure and the "lesser" GC190 motor. The concerns are that it is a brand I've never heard of and that the "top" brands in the market only use GX*** and Subaru motors.

Thinking that I should bite the bullet and increase the budget to go with a GX motor and a brand that I have some confidence in. The realist in me (very small voice) says just buy the Simpson because I'm just going to use this a handful of times a year. In 5 years time I can see myself looking back and wishing I just spent $200 more on the "top" model.

There is a glimpse into my mind and the struggles of an obsessed consumer theorist.
