i dont mean to sound vain or brag, but im at a personal cross roads in my career and life. i've always been a proponent of simple living and would really value the community's input.
im young, no wife, no dependents, and i have a stable six figure salary job. I am content with my job, but i have the opportunity to switch careers to a related field where i can do more and make more in the long run. i recently applied for an entry level position in this industry where i'd take a 35% pay cut and work roughly 60 hour work weeks, but it would set me up for a position that pays almost double down the line. a part of me says that the money will be worth it, but the other part says that i wont find happiness and fulfillment through my career and money. what do you think?
